The Fortified Church of Sânpetru
This church located 800 meters from us, was built in 1794 on the foundation of an older church, which was completely demolished after its tower collapsed for the second time. The classical building was complemented in 1817 with a new tower. The church’s interior is uniformly organized in a classical style, from the organ to the sparingly decorated pillars and the altar with columns in the chancel.
The Black Chruch
The Black Church, the parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran community in Brașov, is located in the center of Brașov, at a distance of 10 km from the hotel. The Black Church is one of the most representative Gothic architectural monuments in Romania, dating from the 14th-15th centuries. The Black Church is the largest Gothic-style place of worship in Southeastern Europe, measuring 89 meters in length and 38 meters in width. This church can accommodate approximately 5,000 people.


Poiana Brașov
The mountain resort of Poiana Brașov is located 21 km from the hotel. A paradise for skiers, Poiana Brașov offers trails on Mount Postăvaru, an ice rink, an indoor recreation center, and a sports complex with tubing and sledding slopes, making it a perfect attraction for tourists. In summer, hikers and cyclists explore the green mountain trails, while riding stables offer horseback tours. Luxury hotels, guesthouses, ski shops, and traditional Romanian restaurants bring the area to life.
The Fortified Evangelical Church of Hărman
Located 4 km from the hotel, the church was built in the 13th century on the foundations of an old Romanesque basilica dating back to the 12th century. An important collection of paintings can be found in a chapel inside the eastern tower. The artwork, created between 1460 and 1470, was covered with lime after the Reformation and restored in the 1920s. The fortification surrounding the church was built in the 15th century and consists of a triple ring of concentric curtain walls.


Bran Castle
Located 36 kilometers from us, this castle is one of the top tourist attractions, drawing thousands of visitors due to a famous legend: “The Legend of Count Dracula.”Bran Castle is built on a rocky hill in a key strategic location and currently houses the Bran Museum. The museum exhibits collections of ceramics, furniture, weapons, and armor. In the castle’s courtyard, visitors can also explore the Village Museum, which features traditional houses from the Bran region.
Lempeș Hill
The hotel’s privileged location offers guests a unique opportunity to connect with nature. Lempeș Hill, situated in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, rises to an altitude of 704 meters (Cetății Peak) and was formed through erosion. It marks the northern boundary of Poarta de la Sânpetru, which divides the Brașov Depression. This natural reserve was designated a protected area under Law No. 5 of March 6, 2000, and overlaps with the Natura 2000 site – Lempeș Citadel Hill – Hărman Marsh. The natural area represents a southern extension of the Baraolt Massif beyond the Olt River, consisting of sedimentary rocks, limestone, conglomerates, and Cretaceous sandstones. It is home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna specific to the Țara Bârsei region.


The Old Town of Brașov
Brașov Old Town, located 10 km from the hotel, is the historic heart of the city, renowned for its well-preserved Saxon-era buildings, 15th-century fortifications, and history museums. In Piața Sfatului (Council Square), lined with charming cafés, visitors can admire the Council House, dating back to the 15th century, as well as the impressive Black Church, a striking Gothic landmark. Nearby, Republicii Street, a lively pedestrian area, is framed by bars, restaurant terraces, and boutique shops.
Shopping Mall Coresi
Located 5.6 km from the hotel, the mall features 130 stores with both international and national brands, a 6,000-square-meter leisure area, a multiplex cinema, a diverse restaurant area, and the largest Auchan hypermarket in Transylvania. All of these facilities were built on the former Tractorul Brașov industrial site, which spans 100 hectares. The Coresi Shopping Resort also includes a gas station and drive-in restaurants.

The Iosif Șilimon Airfield and Aeroclub is just a 10-minute walk from Hotel Bielmann.
